What is the Age Range for TBall? Girls and boys league age 4 to 6 are eligible for TBall.
If my child has already played one year in TBall, can he/she move to the prep division. If your child is league age 6, and has played one season of TBall, he/she may move to the Prep division. You will be provided this option when you register.
When does TBall Start? Tiverton Little League Opening Day is usually at the end of April. This is also league picture day, and there is a parade and other activities. However, TBall games will could begin a week or two later when it's a bit warmer. When are the games? TBall games generally are on Saturday mornings and they are about one hour long. How long is the season? It's usually about 8 weeks, ending in June. Are there practices? This depends on the individual team manager. Some managers choose to hold formal practices, while others will practice briefly before games. Where are the games played? Most games are played at South Field (on East Road behind the fire station) and sometimes at Fort Barton. What equipment does my player need? TLL provides a uniform shirt and hat. Players should bring their own glove. Most players like to have their own bat and helmet, but TLL provides these for each team. Cleats are optional or a pair of sneakers is fine. Do you need managers and coaches? Yes! When you register a player, you will have the opportunity to volunteer. Please register as a volunteer through the website and a successful backround check must also be filled out and passed. Can I sponsor a team? Absolutely!
